Ubuntu VNC no menus and empty desktop

after installing tightvnc-server on ubuntu 12.10 you will see empty desktop with no-menus.
Add following line in ~/.vnc/xstartup
gnome-panel &

be sure you have gnome-panel installed. Otherwise apt-get install gnome-panel
